[13] Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead,
[14] I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.
[15] Therefore let us, as many as are mature, have this mind; and if in anything you think otherwise, God will reveal even this to you.
[16] Nevertheless, to the degree that we have already attained, let us walk by the same rule, let us be of the same mind.
Message:
Research has shown that out of the millions of sperm cells released by a man, only one fertilizes the egg of a woman to produce a baby during reproduction.
This means that you became a human being because the sperm cell that formed you ran a race in your mother’s womb against millions of other sperm cells and won.
Thereafter, after nine months, you struggled through the birth canal and came out crying, which means that you made it out alive.
Therefore, it is not out of place to say that from the birth of a human being up until his or her death, he or she is in a race to overcome one thing or another.
When Jesus was born, the Bible recorded that King Herod wanted him dead so that He would not replace him as king; however, Jesus won the battle against Herod because an angel instructed Joseph to flee to Egypt to preserve His life.
My dear child, life is not soft. As long as you are alive, you must overcome certain hurdles, whether in your finances, academics, career, relationships, ministry, et cetera, to make progress in life.
You must consistently partner with God in prayers to help you overcome all of life’s obstacles.
Action Point:
You need God to help you scale through life’s hurdles.
