Title: Fuss About Smoking
Memorize: For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s. 1 Corinthians 6:20 (Nkjv)
Bible Reading: 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 (Nkjv)
[19] Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own?
[20] For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.
Message:
Have you been around someone making a barbeque before?
Were you attracted to the meat being roasted or the coal being used for the grill?
I believe you wanted to eat the protein and not the coal.
It is perverse for a human being to take in smoke rather than healthy food.
Addictions are strongholds that the devil uses to make a fellow become bound to a complicated lifestyle that would eventually lead to destruction.
Psalm 139:15-16 says that you are wonderfully and fearfully made. This means that God created you perfectly, and you should not damage your body in any way, including through smoking.
Lies have been sold to some teenagers that if they take marijuana or cannabis, they will become high’ and their brains will operate on a higher frequency; whereas, the truth is that their brains may develop major neurological disorders as they grow older.
My dear child, do not indulge in dangerous lifestyles that you might regret later in your old age.
Key Point:
Heavenly Father, please help me to steer clear of dangerous habits.
HYMN 63: O FOR A THOUSAND TONGUES TO SING
1 O for a thousand tongues to sing
My great Redeemer’s praise,
The glories of my God and King,
The triumphs of his grace!
2 My gracious Master and my God,
Assist me to proclaim,
To spread thro’ all the earth abroad
The honours of your name.
3 Jesus! the name that charms ourfears,
that bids our sorroWs cease,
‘Tis music in the sinner’s ears,
‘Tis life and health and peace.
4 He breaks the power of cancelled sin,
He sets the prisoner free;
His blood can make the foulest clean;
His blood availed for me.
5 Hear Him, ye dear, His praise, ye dumb,
Your loosened tongues employ
Ye blind behold your Saviour Come;
And leap, ye lame, for joy.
