Title: The Day Of Favor
Memorize: Then He who sat on the throne said, “Behold, I make all things new.” And He said to me, “Write, for these words are true and faithful.” Revelation 21:5 (Nkjv)
Bible Reading: Esther 5:1-3 (Nkjv)
[1] Now it happened on the third day that Esther put on her royal robes and stood in the inner court of the king’s palace, across from the king’s house, while the king sat on his royal throne in the royal house, facing the entrance of the house.
[2] So it was, when the king saw Queen Esther standing in the court, that she found favor in his sight, and the king held out to Esther the golden scepter that was in his hand. Then Esther went near and touched the top of the scepter.
[3] And the king said to her, “What do you wish, Queen Esther? What is your request? It shall be given to you—up to half the kingdom!”
Message:
A story was told of a lady who had been trusting God for a husband.
She attended a funeral service where a bachelor who had been trusting God for a wife was also in attendance.
When the man first saw her, he concluded that if the lady could look that beautiful while mourning, she would look awesome when in high spirits.
There and then, he decided that he was going to ask for her hand in marriage.
Favour can locate you anywhere you are if you are in the right standing with God.
Queen Esther, in today’s Bible reading, found favour before the king even in an unpleasant scenario.
She went to see the king when he did not send for her, which was a disadvantaged position to be in.
However, God turned that disadvantage to her advantage, and the king honoured her request.
Beloved, it does not matter how long you have desired something.
When the day of favour comes, its manifestation will look like a dream. Your day of favour is here, in Jesus’ name.
Prayer Point:
Father, please let your favour locate me for breakthroughs today, in Jesus’ name.
HYMN 21 – STANDING ON THE PROMISES OF CHRIST MY KING
1. Standing on the promises of Christ, my King,
Through eternal ages let his praises ring;
Glory in the highest, I will shout and sing,
Standing on the promises of God.
Refrain:
Standing, standing,
Standing on the promises of God, my Savior;
Standing, standing,
I’m standing on the promises of God.
2. Standing on the promises that cannot fail.
When the howling storms of doubt and fear assail,
By the living Word of God I shall prevail,
Standing on the promises of God. [Refrain]
3. Standing on the promises of Christ, the Lord,
Bound to him eternally by love’s strong cord,
Overcoming daily with the Spirit’s sword,
Standing on the promises of God. [Refrain]
4. Standing on the promises I cannot fall,
List’ning ev’ry moment to the Spirit’s call,
Resting in my Savior as my all in all,
Standing on the promises of God. [Refrain]
