Title: Make Peace
MEMORISE: Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God. Matthew 5:9
BIBLE TEXT: Hebrews 12:14
14 Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord:
MESSAGE:
In some parts of the world today there is chaos. Some nations are at war because they are trying to prove a point to others. The same thing happens in some homes and among some friends where someone is always trying to show that he/she is better than the others. Attitudes like this should not be found amongst believers.
Beloved, you need to know that as long as we are in this world, it will be difficult to live with someone and not offend him/her. Till now, my wife and I still disagree on some matters. When we think about them individually later, we can then reach an agreement. Disagreement is inevitable in life, but you must be careful not to give the devil a chance in your relationships.
If you are wrong on any matter, please apologies to the others involved. Even if someone offends you and you know that you didn’t do wrong, go ahead and still make peace with him/her because you are a child of God who wants to make it to Heaven.
Being a peacemaker does not mean you should stand in-between two persons exchanging blows because you might sustain injuries in the process. It simply means calling for peace to reign wherever you find yourself.
KEY POINT:
Blessed are the peacemakers because they will be called the sons of God.
HYMN 16 – Breathe On Me
Breathe on me, Breath of God,
Fill me with life anew,
That I may love the way you love,
And do what you would do.
Breathe on me, Breath of God,
Until my heart is pure,
Until my will is one with yours,
To do and to endure.
Breathe on me, Breath of God,
So shall I never die,
But live with you the perfect life
For all eternity.
