Title: Expect Miracles
Memorize: Jesus said to him, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.” Mark 9:23 (Nkjv)
Bible Reading: Mark 11:22-24 (Nkjv)
[22] So Jesus answered and said to them, “Have faith in God.
[23] For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.
[24] Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.
Message:
Many years ago, when my faith was still little, whenever people came to me for prayers, I would pray and expect the miracles to happen later.
However, one day, a woman brought a dumb child who was about ten years old and had never spoken before.
As I began to pray, saying, “In the name of Jesus,” the child said, “Amen!” I nearly jumped out of the window because I was so shocked.
I wasn’t expecting the miracle so fast, but God already did it before I prayed. I charge you to pray in faith for the sick and expect their healing.
When Jesus said, “You shall lay hands on the sick, and they will recover” (Mark 16:17-18), He did not say exactly when they would recover.
However, as you pray and constantly obey Him, you can expect miracles to happen.
If you believe in the power of God, then you already have the grace to perform miracles; just go ahead and pray for people.
If you pray for someone and nothing happens, pray for another person; just keep praying and expect miracles to happen.
Key Point:
Miracles will happen through you: don’t stop praying.
HYMN 13 – PASS ME NOT, O GENTLE SAVIOR
1 Pass me not, O gentle Savior,
Hear my humble cry,
While on others Thou art calling,
Do not pass me by.
Refrain:
Savior, Savior,
Hear my humble cry;
While on others Thou art calling,
Do not pass me by.
2 Let me at a throne of mercy
Find a sweet relief;
Kneeling there in deep contrition,
Help my unbelief.
3 Trusting only in Thy merit,
Would I seek Thy face;
Heal my wounded, broken spirit,
Save me by Thy grace.
4 Thou the Spring of all my comfort,
More than life to me,
Whom have I on earth beside Thee?
Whom in heav’n but Thee?
