Title: The Wonders of Worship III

MEMORIZE: The Lord will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace.” Exodus 14:14(NKJV)

BIBLE READING PSALMS 68:1-3 (NKJV)

[1](To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David. A Song) Let God arise, Let His enemies be scattered; Let those also who hate Him flee before Him.

[2]As smoke is driven away, So drive them away; As wax melts before the fire, So let the wicked perish at the presence of God.

[3]But let the righteous be glad; Let them rejoice before God; Yes, let them rejoice exceedingly.

MESSAGE:

Worship is an invitation to God to arise and fight your enemies on your behalf. Many a time, people think their enemies are human beings, but that is not always true because the Bible says in 1 Peter 5:8 that our enemy (adversary) is the devil who walks about, seeking whom to devour. He inhabits or possesses people to do his bidding in the process of moving around.

As a child of God, you should understand that there are many unseen battles that God is fighting on your behalf, and one way to ensure that He remains your ally is by worshipping Him.

In Matthew 8:1-3, there was a leper who got healed after worshiping Jesus. The beauty of the story is that when he was going on his knees to worship Jesus, he was a leper, but by the time he got up, he was completely cleansed and healed of leprosy.

Whatever oppression of the devil in the form of sickness, disease, demonic attacks, et cetera, you might be facing now can be handled by the Lord Jesus. Just worship Him wholeheartedly.

KEY POINT

When you continue to worship God, He will continue to fight your battles.

HYMN 11 – O LORD MY GOD! WHEN AM IN AWESOME WONDER

  1. O lord my God!
    When am in awesome wonder,
    consider all
    The worlds thy hands hath made
    I see the stars,
    I heard the rolling thunder
    Thy pow’r thro’ out
    The universe displayed
  2. And when I think
    That God, His Son not sparing
    Sent Him to die
    I scare can take it in;
    That on the cross,
    My burden gladly bearing,
    He bled and died
    To take away my sin.
  3. Then through the woods
    And forest glads I wander,
    And hear the birds
    Sing sweetly in the tress;
    When I look down
    From lofty mountain grandeur
    And hear the brook
    And feel the gentle breeze;
  4. When Christ shall come
    With shout of acclamation
    And take me home,
    What joy shall fill my heart!
    Then I shall bow
    In humble adoration
    And there proclaim,
    My God how great Thou art!
