Title: God’s Design For Sexuality
Memorize: So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. Genesis 1:27 (Nkjv)
Bible Reading Romans 1:26-27 (Nkjv)
[26] For this reason God gave them up to vile passions. For even their women exchanged the natural use for what is against nature.
[27] Likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due.
Message:
After God created us in His image, with purpose and intentionality, He gave us the gift of sexuality.
In essence, He designed men and women to complement each other in loving relationships that showcase His love and glory.
However, sin and perversion came into the world, and human beings began to have desires that strayed from God’s original design.
In Leviticus 18:22 (KJV), the Bible commands: “Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination.”
That Scripture, along with several others, backs up God’s standard for sexual relationships within the sacred covenant of marriage between a man and a woman.
Clearly, God condemns any form of same-sex relationships.
My dear child, if you are developing romantic feelings for someone of your gender, know that the demon of lust is trying to draw you to hell.
God did not create you that way, so please seek counsel from a godly counsellor to help you deal with your feelings.
You also need to cry to God to deliver you from the demon of lust, and He will hear your cry and destroy such feelings.
Key Point:
God frowns upon same-sex relationships.
HYMN 15: WHEN WE WALK WITH THE LORD
1 When we walk with the Lord
in the light of his word,
what a glory he sheds on our way!
While we do his good will,
he abides with us still,
and with all who will trust and obey.
Refrain:
Trust and obey, for there’s no other way
to be happy in Jesus, but to trust and obey.
2 Not a burden we bear,
not a sorrow we share,
but our toil he doth richly repay;
not a grief or a loss,
not a frown or a cross,
but is blest if we trust and obey. [Refrain]
3 But we never can prove
the delights of his love
until all on the altar we lay;
for the favor he shows,
for the joy he bestows,
are for them who will trust and obey. [Refrain]
4 Then in fellowship sweet
we will sit at his feet,
or we’ll walk by his side in the way;
what he says we will do,
where he sends we will go;
never fear, only trust and obey. [Refrain]
