Title Mourning For Souls
Memorize: Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted. Matthew 5:4
Bible Reading: Amos 1:6
Woe to them that are at ease in Zion, and trust in the mountain of Samaria, which are named chief of the nations, to whom the house of Israel came!
Message:
To mourn is to be grieved by an occurrence or to be so concerned about something that it deeply affects your emotions. According to today’s memory verse, people who mourn, especially for souls or the bad state of the world, will be comforted, and they will experience God’s blessings. The present world has become so bad that wrong conduct is being permitted, encouraged, and, in some places, legalised. For example, a young person who insults an elderly man in public and gets his friends to post the incident on social media for fun is worth mourning because he and his friends probably do not know the ordeal of the 42 unruly children who made jest of Prophet Elijah in 2 Kings 2:23-24.
In the world today, the influence of social media has made some teenagers become deeply involved in immoral sexual activities and all sorts of perversions. This is worth mourning over as well because the coming of the Lord is very close. Unfortunately, many people are not looking forward to it at all, including many people in the church. Do you mourn for the thousands who die daily without knowing Jesus? My dear child, don’t just abstain from sin; mourn for sinners and travail for them in the place of prayer because God is not interested in the death of any sinner (Ezekiel 18:32).
Prayer Point:
Father, please deliver my generation from eternal damnation, in Jesus’ name.

HYMN 58: MY HOPE IS BUILT ON NOTHING ELSE
1. My hope is built on nothing less
Than Jesus’ blood and righteousness;
I dare not trust the sweetest frame,
But wholly lean on Jesus’ name.
Refrain:
On Christ, the solid Rock, I stand;
All other ground is sinking sand,
All other ground is sinking sand.
2. When darkness seems to veils His face,
I rest on His unchanging grace;
In every high and stormy gale,
My anchor holds within the veil. [Refrain]
3. His oath, His covenant, and blood,
Support me in the whelming flood;
When all around my soul gives way,
He then is all my hope and stay. [Refrain]
4. When He shall come with trumpet sound,
Oh, may I then in Him be found;
Dressed in His righteousness alone,
Faultless to stand before the throne. [Refrain]
