Title: Weep Not, Rejoice!
Memorize: Rejoice always 1 Thessalonians 5: 16 (Nkjv)
Bible Reading: Luke 7:12-15 (Nkjv)
[12] And when He came near the gate of the city, behold, a dead man was being carried out, the only son of his mother; and she was a widow. And a large crowd from the city was with her.
[13] When the Lord saw her, He had compassion on her and said to her, “Do not weep.”
[14] Then He came and touched the open coffin, and those who carried him stood still. And He said, “Young man, I say to you, arise.”
[15] So he who was dead sat up and began to speak. And He presented him to his mother.
Message:
Weeping doesn’t solve any problem: it is merely an expression of sorrow. It blurs vision and reasoning – both physically and spiritually.
Weeping, particularly when God says not to weep in situations that appear unpleasant, is an indirect protest against God’s command, and anything that we do contrary to the command of the Lord is an act of rebellion.
The Bible assures us that: “For His anger is but for a moment, his favor is for life; weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning.” (Psalm 30:5). We are most blessed if we believe this Scripture.
Rather than weep over anything, I will encourage you to read God’s word concerning His promises for you in the time of trouble.

Dear child, the Lord is saying to you today, don’t weep, but rejoice.
Prayer Point:
Father, today, please wipe away all tears from my eyes and take charge of the situations that make me weep in the name of Jesus
BE GLAD IN THE LORD AND REJOICE
1. Be glad in the Lord and rejoice,
All ye that are upright in heart;
And ye that have made Him your choice,
Bid sadness and sorrow depart.
CHORUS
Rejoice! Rejoice!..
Be glad in the Lord and Rejoice!
Rejoice! Rejoice!.
Be glad in the Lord and Rejoice!
2. Be joyful for He is the Lord,
On earth and in heaven supreme;
He fashions and rules by His words;
The “Mighty” and “Strong” to redeem.
3. What tho’ in the conflict for right
Your enemies almost prevail!
God’s armies, just hid from your sight,
Are more than the foes which assail.
4. Thơ’ darkness Surround you by day,
Your sky by the night be o’er cast,
Let nothing your spirit dismay.
But trust till the danger is past.
5. Be glad in the Lord and rejoice,
His praises proclaiming in song:
With harp, and with organ, and voice,
The loud hallelujahs prolong!
