TOPIC: DON’T COMPLAIN
MEMORIZE: Neither murmur ye, as some of them also murmured, and were destroyed of the destroyer. 1 Corinthians 10:10
BIBLE READING : ROMANS 8:28
28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
Do not murmur!
Today’s Confession: I confess today that my heart is full of gratitude, my mouth is full of praise, and my life is full of God’s presence because I refuse to murmur in Jesus’ name. Somebody shout Hallelujah!
MESSAGE:
God never hears the cries of those who murmur. When a child of God starts complaining or murmuring, he or she gives room for ungratefulness and drives himself or herself out of God’s court.
This is because the only thing that gives a person access to God’s presence is thanksgiving (Psalm 100:4) and not murmurings.
There are dangers in complaining or murmuring. In Numbers 21:4-9, the children of Israel murmured against God, and He sent serpents to bite them, leading to the death of many of them.
When people complain against God, their situation gets worse, and it might lead to death. May you not die young, in Jesus’ name.
Henceforth, I want you to be grateful to God for your current situation because your current situation is another person’s prayer point.
I remember some years ago, my wife called to check on a sick person we had been praying for.
When she answered the phone, she told my wife, “Help me thank God that I was able to wear my clothes by myself today.”
My dear child, no matter how uncomfortable your situation might be, do not complain; instead, be grateful for where you are now and have faith in God that He will make your tomorrow great.
ACTION POINT:
Thank God for His blessings upon your life for the next five minutes.
OPEN HEAVENS FOR TEENS 25 APRIL 2025 HYMN : 64 –
WHEN UPON LIFE’S BILLOWS YOU ARE TEMPEST TOSSED
1 When upon life’s billows you are tempest tossed
When you are discouraged, thinking all is lost,
Count your many blessings, name them one by one, And it will surprise you what
the Lord hath done.
Chorus
Count your blessings, name them one by one;
Count your blessings, see what God hath done;
Count your blessings, name them one by one,
Count your many blessings, see what God hath done.
2 Are you ever burdened with a load of care?
Does the cross seem heavy you are called to bear?
Count your many blessings, ev’ry doubt will fly,
And you will be singing as the days go by.
3 When you look at others with their lands and gold,
Think that Christ has promised you His wealth untold;
Count your many blessings, money cannot buy
Your reward in heaven, nor your home on high.
4 So, amid the conflict, whether great or small,
Do not be discouraged, God is over all;
Count your many blessings, angels will attend,
Help and comfort give you to your journey’s end.
