TOPIC: Love What God Loves
MEMORISE: For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments. And His commandments are not burdensome. 1 John 5:3
BIBLE READING: Matthew 22:37-39 (KJV)
37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
38 This is the first and great commandment.
39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
MESSAGE:
There is a saying which goes thus: “A friend of my friend is my friend.” If you really love God, then you have to love the things that He loves and also do the things that bring pleasure to Him. God loves obedience, fellowship, and kindness towards other people; therefore, if you love Him, you are to exhibit these traits.God-focused merchandise
Another thing that God loves is righteousness. Psalm 146:8 says that the Lord loves the righteous. If you love God, you will live a holy life and keep His commandments. You will also love and show kindness towards everyone around you.
God also loves it when His children are in His presence, spending time with Him. If you truly love God, you will always be excited to spend time in His presence. In Psalm 122:1, David said, “I was glad when they said to me, ‘Let us go into the house of the LORD.’” My dear child, are you usually excited whenever you are in church? Do you always look forward to fellowshipping with other brethren? God’s greatest commandment is that you love Him: therefore, you must also love the things He loves.
KEY POINT:
If you truly love God, then you will love what He loves.
HYMN 3: All To Jesus I Surrender
1 All to Jesus I surrender,
All to Him I freely give;
I will ever love and trust Him,
In His presence daily live.
Refrain:
I surrender all, I surrender all;
All to Thee, my blessed Savior,
I surrender all.
2 All to Jesus I surrender,
Make me, Savior, wholly Thine;
Let me feel Thy Holy Spirit,
Truly know that Thou art mine. [Refrain]
3 All to Jesus I surrender,
Lord, I give myself to Thee;
Fill me with Thy love and power,
Let Thy blessing fall on me. [Refrain]
