Topic: DELAYED ANSWERS
MEMORISE: For you have need of endurance, so that after you have done the will of God, you may receive the promise: Hebrews 10:36
BIBLE READING: JAMES 5:7-8
7 Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain.
8 Be ye also patient; stablish your hearts: for the coming of the Lord draweth nigh.
MESSAGE:
Several years ago, I was in my prayer room, and my youngest child walked in, asking for a biscuit.
Initially, I ignored him, but he kept returning with the same request.
I soon realised that unless I got him what he wanted, he wouldn’t let me focus on what I was doing.
The moment I granted his request, he thanked me and left me alone.
His persistence paid off because he knew that his father could provide for him.
My dear child, do you sometimes feel that God is delaying answers to your prayers?
Do you sometimes think that He is ignoring you? I want to assure you that He has not forgotten you.
Sometimes, delays are divine tests of faith to determine whether a fellow will continue to trust God or seek alternatives.
You must understand that God’s promises are certain, and His timing is always perfect.
Do not be discouraged about any promise He has made to you or your family that is yet to be fulfilled.
I have witnessed God answer my children’s prayers simply because they kept asking during family devotions, mealtimes, on car rides to school, and before bedtime.
They never stopped until their joy was full. Likewise, you must also be persistent in prayer, and in due time, my Daddy will answer you.
