TOPIC: A LITTLE SLEEP
MEMORISE: As the door turneth upon his hinges, so doth the slothful upon his bed. Proverbs 26:14
BIBLE READING: PROVERBS 26:13-16
13 The slothful man saith, There is a lion in the way; a lion is in the streets.
14 As the door turneth upon his hinges, so doth the slothful upon his bed.
15 The slothful hideth his hand in his bosom; it grieveth him to bring it again to his mouth.
16 The sluggard is wiser in his own conceit than seven men that can render a reason.
MESSAGE:
Some teenagers today have formed the habit of sleeping too much.
When you read about any great person in the world today, you will discover that one of the major contributors to their success is getting just enough sleep and not sleeping too much, giving them ample time to develop profitable ideas.
Research has shown that we need eight hours of sleep to rejuvenate our bodies.
Any fellow who sleeps for more than eight hours every day is a sluggard because it means that he or she sleeps for more than 56 hours a week and a staggering 2,920 hours a year!
If such a fellow also spends approximately five hours daily on social media or watching movies, then it equates to an additional 35 hours a week and 1,825 hours a year.
When you combine sleep and leisure time, the fellow would have devoted more than 4,745 hours in a year to achieving nothing! What a significant waste of precious time.
My dear child, do not sleep when you should be working; do the right things at the right time so that you can succeed in your goals and aspirations and fulfil your God-given destiny.

HYMN : 4 –
BE GLAD IN THE LORD AND REJOICE
1 Be glad in the Lord and rejoice,
All ye that are upright in heart;
And ye that have made him your choice,
Bid sadness and sorrow depart.
Refrain:
Rejoice, rejoice!
Be glad in the Lord and rejoice!
2 Be joyful, for He is the Lord,
On earth and in heaven supreme;
He fashions and rules by His word;
The Mighty and strong to redeem
3 What though in the conffict for right
Your enemies almost prevail,
God’s armies, just hid from your sight,
Are more than the foes which assail.
4 Though darkness surround you by day,
Your sky by the night be o’ercast,
Let nothing your spirit dismay,
But trust till the danger is past.
5 Be glad in the Lord and rejoice,
His praises proclaiming in song;
With harp, and with organ and voice
The loud hallelujahs prolong!
