Message:
Whenever l see young people Use their skills in various departments in the church, I am always happy.
This is because it puts them in an environment where they can be properly guided, mentored, and trained.
It also serves as a platform where they can discover their purpose in life. I usually admire youths and wish I were younger so that I can achieve more for God.
As a teenager, use the strength you have now to work hard so that you can become great in life.
I once told the first graduating set of Redeemer’s University students that everyone has a pillow of suffering assigned to him or her, but their attitude to their academics would determine whether they would burn their pillows in their youth so that they can enjoy life in their old age.
It is sad that many young people live carelessly and waste their time on frivolous activities.
The implication of this is that their pillows of suffering are waiting for them in old age.
My dear child, do not laze around; rather, work with your brain and your hands now. Step out of your comfort zone and work hard so that in your old age, you will reap and enjoy the fruits of your labour.
Key Point:
Work hard now so you can enjoy later.
