Title: Choose God’s Path
Memorize: In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths. Proverbs 3:6 (Nkjv)
Bible Reading: Jeremiah 29:10-11 (Nkjv)
[10] For thus says the Lord: After seventy years are completed at Babylon, I will visit you and perform My good word toward you, and cause you to return to this place.
[11] For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.
Message:
I grew up with the intention of becoming the youngest vice chancellor in Africa; however, when I gave my life to Christ, I learned how to trust God completely, which eventually led me to find the right direction for my life. When I left my job as a senior lecturer at a university to become a full-time pastor, it didn’t make sense to many people then, but as I followed God’s path for my life, my purpose became clearer.
My dear child, if you are finding it difficult to understand your purpose right now, I encourage you today to be open-minded in your studies and with every task you’re given. As you do them, you’ll discover your areas of interest and know what to discard. If God has destined you to be great, you can’t afford to be lazy or merely wish for greatness. You have to be up and doing, study hard, intern for jobs, volunteer in organisations, acquire skills, attend seminars, meditate on God’s word, and pray hard.
When you stay committed to God and choose to follow His path, He will lead you to a glorious future.
Prayer Point:
Father, help me to discover and follow Your path for my life.
HYMN 3: ALL TO JESUS I SURRENDER
1 All to Jesus I surrender,
All to Him I freely give;
I will ever love and trust Him,
In His presence daily live.
Refrain:
I surrender all, I surrender all;
All to Thee, my blessed Savior,
I surrender all.
2 All to Jesus I surrender,
Make me, Savior, wholly Thine;
Let me feel Thy Holy Spirit,
Truly know that Thou art mine. Refrain
3 All to Jesus I surrender,
Lord, I give myself to Thee;
Fill me with Thy love and power,
Let Thy blessing fall on me. Refrain
