Title: Living In Truth
Memorize: Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. John 14:6 (Nkjv)
Bible Reading: John 14:1-6 (Nkjv)
[1] “Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me.
[2] In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
[3] And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also.
[4] And where I go you know, and the way you know.”
[5] Thomas said to Him, “Lord, we do not know where You are going, and how can we know the way?”
[6] Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.
Message:
Several religions claim that they have the best means to access God; however, the Bible establishes that Jesus Christ is the only way to reach God the Father. This is the truth, as today’s memory verse confirms that Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life.
When a person surrenders his or her heart to Jesus completely, the person will realise that it is very easy to speak the truth rather than tell lies. When such a person tells a lie, the fellow might not feel at peace until he or she speaks the truth.
My dear child, if you have made telling lies a habit, I want to plead with you to surrender your life completely to Jesus today, so that He will show you a way to stop doing so. You also need to yield to the Holy Spirit more because He will convict you when you tell a lie. Furthermore, when Jesus lives in you, you will find it difficult to live a ‘fake life’, whether on social media or among your peers. God values truth, honesty, and integrity. He is pleased when His children live truthfully, but He separates Himself from anyone who lives otherwise. Be truthful in all your endeavours.
Action Point:
Today is my husband’s birthday. For the next few minutes, please pray that God will continually uphold him.
HYMN 15: PASS ME NOT, O GENTLE SAVIOUR
1 Pass me not, O gentle Savior,
Hear my humble cry;
While on others Thou art calling,
Do not pass me by.
REFRAIN:
Saviour, Saviour,
Hear my humble cry;
While on others Thou art calling,
Do not pass me by.
2 Let me, at Thy throne of mercy
Find a sweet relief;
Kneeling there in deep contrition,
Help my unbelief.
3 Trusting only in Thy merit
Would I seek Thy face
Heal my wounded, broken spirit,
Save me by Thy grace.
4 Thou, the spring of all my comfort,
More than life to me.
Whom have I on earth beside Thee?
Whom in heav’n but Thee?
