Title: The Love Of Money
Memorize: For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil, for which some have strayed from the faith in their greediness, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows. 1 Timothy 6:10 (Nkjv)
Bible Reading: Ecclesiastes 5:10-12 (Nkjv)
[10] He who loves silver will not be satisfied with silver; Nor he who loves abundance, with increase. This also is vanity.
[11] When goods increase, They increase who eat them; So what profit have the owners Except to see them with their eyes?
[12] The sleep of a laboring man is sweet, Whether he eats little or much; But the abundance of the rich will not permit him to sleep.
Message:
Money is essential for daily living; however, an obsession with wealth can lead to greed, dishonesty, and spiritual downfall.
Many young people have compromised their faith, and some have even lost their lives while chasing riches.
They forget that true wealth Comes from God alone.
While money can buy comfort, it cannot purchase salvation, peace, or eternal security,
Instead of making wealth the ultimate goal, it is important to seek God first and trust Him to provide for your needs (Matthew 6:33).
Those who prioritise riches over their faith will ultimately face disappointment and sorrow.
They will also engage in ungodly acts just to make money, thereby becoming slaves to money.
They are never satisfied; no matter how much money they acquire, they crave for more.
However, true joy and contentment only come from a life that is fully surrendered to God, not from material possessions.
My dear child, I want you to always show gratitude to God for everything He has given to you, whether large or small.
Never allow money to Control you; instead, use your resources to serve God and bless others.
Key Point:
Those who love money become enslaved by it.
HYMN 68: ALL TO JESUS I SURRENDER
1: All to Jesus I surrender
All to Him I freely give;
I will ever low and trust Him,
In His presence daily live.
Chorus:
I surrender all.
I surrender all:
All to Thee,
my blessed saviour
I surrender all
2: All to Jesus I surrender,
Humbly at His feet I bow;
Worldly pleasures all forsaken.
Take me, Jesus, take me now.
3: All to Jesus I surrender.
Lord, I give myself to Thee;
Fill me with Thy love and power,
Let Thy blessing fall on me.
4: All to Jesus I surrender,
Now I feel the sacred flame
O the joy of full salvation!
Glory, glory to His name!
