Title: Is Dating Wrong?
Memorize: Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. 1 Corinthians 6:18 (Nkjv)
Bible Reading: Solomon 8:3-5 (Nkjv)
[3] His left hand is under my head, And his right hand embraces me.
[4] I charge you, O daughters of Jerusalem, Do not stir up nor awaken love Until it pleases.
[5] Who is this coming up from the wilderness, Leaning upon her beloved? I awakened you under the apple tree. There your mother brought you forth; There she who bore you brought you forth.
Message:
I know that many teenagers want to know if dating is right or wrong. Whether you agree or not, dating can lead to sin if you are not careful or guided. It can also lead to premarital sex that could have negative consequences for both boys and girls.
For instance, there is the risk of contracting sexually transmitted diseases, experiencing unnecessary career struggles, being confronted with mysterious spiritual opposition, and having unwanted pregnancies.
This is because such people are not ready for marriage. Anyone who is involved in dating another fellow should be prepared to settle down in marriage with that fellow soon. So, let me ask you: Are you ready to get married soon?
If your answer is no, then you have no business being in a relationship. My dear child, I implore you not to spend your youthful years jumping from one relationship to another. Rather, focus on building your life spiritually and in other important areas. As some people say, don’t major on the minor and minor on the major. Focus!
Key Point:
If you are not ready to get married soon, you have no business being in a relationship.
Hymn 2: I am Thine O Lord
1 I am Thine, O Lord, I have heard Thy voice,
and it told Thy love to me;
but I long to rise in the arms of faith,
and be closer drawn to Thee.
Refrain:
Draw me nearer, nearer, blessed Lord,
to the cross where Thou hast died;
draw me nearer, nearer, blessed Lord,
to Thy precious, bleeding side.
2 Consecrate me now to Thy service, Lord,
by the pow’r of grace divine;
let my soul look up with a steadfast hope,
and my will be lost in Thine. [Refrain]
3 O, the pure delight of a single hour
that before Thy throne I spend,
when I kneel in prayer, and with Thee, my God,
I commune as friend with friend! [Refrain]
4 There are depths of love that I cannot know
till I cross the narrow sea;
there are heights of joy that I may not reach
till I rest in peace with Thee. [Refrain]
