Title: Miracles Win Souls
Memorize: However, many of those who heard the word believed; and the number of the men came to be about five thousand. Acts 4:4 (Nkjv)
Bible Reading: Acts 3:1-10 (Nkjv)
[1] Now Peter and John went up together to the temple at the hour of prayer, the ninth hour.
[2] And a certain man lame from his mother’s womb was carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple which is called Beautiful, to ask alms from those who entered the temple;
[3] who, seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple, asked for alms.
[4] And fixing his eyes on him, with John, Peter said, “Look at us.”
[5] So he gave them his attention, expecting to receive something from them.
[6] Then Peter said, “Silver and gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk.”
[7] And he took him by the right hand and lifted him up, and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength.
[8] So he, leaping up, stood and walked and entered the temple with them—walking, leaping, and praising God.
[9] And all the people saw him walking and praising God.
[10] Then they knew that it was he who sat begging alms at the Beautiful Gate of the temple; and they were filled with wonder and amazement at what had happened to him.
Message:
God uses miracles for soul- winning. In today’s Bible reading, the healing of the lame man at the Beautiful Gate attracted many people to the scene of the miracle, and they proceeded to listen to what Peter and John had to say.
This clearlų shows that miracles draw people to God. No wonder Jesus Said that some people will never believe the gospel unless they see miracles happen (John 4:48).
My dear child, evangelism will be much easier if it goes hand in hand with miracles.
Therefore, I charge you today to go to God with a desire to be a miracle-working evangelist.
I join my faith with yours and pray that you will receive the power to work miracles.
After you have received this power, step out in faith and preach the gospel with boldness and the assurance that the people you pray for will receive miracles.
Don’t be afraid or bothered about not seeing instant miracles. Step out in faith first, do the work, and allow God to handle the rest.
Key Point:
Miracles aid soul-winning.
HYMN 5: BLESSED ASSURANCE
1 Blessed assurance, Jesus is mine
Oh, what a foretaste of glory divine
Heir of salvation, purchase of God
Born of His Spirit, washed in His blood
Chorus:
This is my story, this is my song
Praising my Saviour all the day long
This is my story, this is my Song
Praising my Saviour all the day long
2 Perfect submission, perfect delight,
Visions of rapture now burst on my sight,
Angel descending, bring from above
Echoes of mercy, whispers of love.
3 Perfect submission, all is at rest
Tin my Savior am happy and blessed
Watching and waiting, looking above
Filled with His goodness, lost in His love
