Title: The Word Set Free
Memorize: He sent His word and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions. Psalm 107:20 (Nkjv)
Bible Reading: Matthew 8:5-13 (Nkjv)
[5] Now when Jesus had entered Capernaum, a centurion came to Him, pleading with Him,
[6] saying, “Lord, my servant is lying at home paralyzed, dreadfully tormented.”
[7] And Jesus said to him, “I will come and heal him.”
[8] The centurion answered and said, “Lord, I am not worthy that You should come under my roof. But only speak a word, and my servant will be healed.
[9] For I also am a man under authority, having soldiers under me. And I say to this one, ‘Go,’ and he goes; and to another, ‘Come,’ and he comes; and to my servant, ‘Do this,’ and he does it.”
[10] When Jesus heard it, He marveled, and said to those who followed, “Assuredly, I say to you, I have not found such great faith, not even in Israel!
[11] And I say to you that many will come from east and west, and sit down with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob in the kingdom of heaven.
[12] But the sons of the kingdom will be cast out into outer darkness. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.”
[13] Then Jesus said to the centurion, “Go your way; and as you have believed, so let it be done for you.” And his servant was healed that same hour.
Message:
God created the universe by His word, and that word is still doing wonders today.
In today’s Bible reading, Jesus was about to visit the home of a Centurion who had cried to Him to heal his sick servant.
Surprisingly, the Centurion asked Him not to Come, but to only speak the word.” Jesus obliged, and the Centurion’s servant Was healed immediately.
Whenever God’s word goes out, the sick receive their healing, as we see in today’s memory verse, and other miracles abound.
The word of God can solve any difficult situation. I remember a lady who came for prayers because she was still bedwetting at 25.
She said that she normally avoided sleeping over at any of her friends’ houses for fear of shame.
I prayed with her, declaring God’s Word over her situation, and the following week, she came back with a testimony.
Todoay, I decree God’s word into your life: if you are going through any challenge which you cannot tell anyone about, may the Lord give you a solution to it, in Jesus name.
My dear child, use God’s word as a weapon for your deliverance. Read it, study it, and meditate on it to experience all-round victory in your life, finances, family, and academics.
Key Point:
God’s word is still as potent as it was at the creation of the universe.
HYMN 15:PASS ME NOT, O GENTLE SAVIOUR
1 Pass me not, O gentle Saviour,
Hear my humble cry;
While on others Thou art calling,
Do not pass me by.
REFRAIN:
Saviour, Saviour,
Hear my humble cry;
While on others Thou art calling,
Do not pass me by.
2 Let me, at Thy throne of mercy
Find a sweet relief;
Kneeling there in deep contrition,
Help my unbelief.
3 Trusting only in Thy merit
Would I seek Thy face
Heal my wounded, broken spirit,
Save me by Thy grace.
4 Thou, the spring of all my comfort,
More than life to me.
Whom have I on earth beside Thee?
Whom in heav’n but Thee?
