TOPIC – More Than A Conqueror
MEMORISE: Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? – Romans 8:35
BIBLE READING: 1 JOHN 5:4-5
4 For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.
5 Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?
MESSAGE:
A powerful analogy of what it means to be more than a conqueror is that of a male boxer. When he is in a boxing ring, he receives blows and jabs from his opponent. He may bleed, and his face might become Swollen; however. if he knocks out his opponent at the end of the competition, he becomes the winner. If the man gives his champion’s belt to his wife who didn’t fight at all, we can say that she is ‘more than the conqueror’ because she received the reward of victory even without fighting any battle.Christian music streaming
Today’s memory verse tells us that as believers, we are more than conquerors through Christ. Jesus has already fought the battle and won the victory for us. No matter the challenge or trial that comes your way, always remember that Jesus Christ has already triumphed, and you are fighting from the place of victory.
My dear child, Jesus overcame poverty for your prosperity, failure for your success, sorrow for your joy, and sickness for your healing. Therefore, if you are experiencing any lack or pain at the moment, I want you to begin to declare victory over it in the name of Jesus.
CONFESSION:
I will not be defeated by any challenge. I am more than a conqueror!
HYMN 55 – Christian, Seek Not Yet Repose
1 Christian, Seek Not Yet Repose;
Hear Thy Guardian Angel Say,
“Thou Art In The Midst Of Foes:
Watch And Pray!”
2 Principalities And Powers,
Mustering Their Unseen Array,
Wait For Thy Unguarded Hours:
“Watch And Pray.”
3 Gird Thy Heavenly Armour On;
Wear It Every Night And Day
Ambush’d Lies The Evil One:
“Watch And Pray.”
4 Hear The Victors Who O’ercame;
Still They Mark Each Warrior’s Way;
All With One Sweet Voice Exclaim,
“Watch And Pray!”
5 Hear, Above AlI, Hear Thy Lord,
Him Thou Lovest To Obey;
Hide Within Thy Heart His Word:
“Watch And Pra!.”
6 Watch, As If On That Alone
Hung The Issue Of The Day;
Pray, That Help May Be Sent Down:
Watch And Pray.
