Title: Guard Your Heart
Memorize: Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it spring the issues of life. Proverbs 4:23 (Nkjv)
Bible Reading: Psalm 24:3-6 (Nkjv)
[3] Who may ascend into the hill of the Lord? Or who may stand in His holy place?
[4] He who has clean hands and a pure heart, Who has not lifted up his soul to an idol, Nor sworn deceitfully.
[5] He shall receive blessing from the Lord, And righteousness from the God of his salvation.
[6] This is Jacob, the generation of those who seek Him, Who seek Your face. Selah
Message:
Your heart is meant to be the throne of Jesus; therefore, you must guard it carefully. Sin begins in the heart before it manifests in actions.
Your eyes and ears are gateways to your heart; hence, you must be cautious about what you watch and listen to.
Daniel was a teenager who was taken into captivity in Babylon.
He faced great pressure to conform to the king’s ways, but despite the temptations and challenges, he resolved not to defile himself with the royal food and wine (Daniel 1:8).
His faithfulness to God and commitment to purity set him apart and led to God’s favour and blessings upon his life.
My dear child, here are some ways you can guard your heart:
– Choose movies, music, and online content that align with Christian values.
– Participate in activities that strengthen your faith and character.
– Build relationships with other teenagers who encourage your walk with God.
– Memorise Scriptures to help your heart resist temptation and make wise decisions.
Guard your heart faithfully so you can align yourself with God’s will and enjoy His blessings.
Key Point:
Do not dishonour or disobey your parents. Happy Children’s Day!
HYMN 1: AT THE CROSS
1 O Jesus, Lord, thy dying love
Hath pierced my contrite heart;
Now take my life, and let me prove
How dear to me thou art.
Refrain:
At the cross, at the cross, where I first saw the light,
And the burden of my heart roll’d away,
It was there by faith I receiv’d my sight,
And now I am happy night and day.
2 Amid the night of sin and death
Thy light hath filled my soul;
To me Thy loving voice now saith,
Thy faith hath made thee whole. [Refrain]
3 I kiss Thy feet, I clasp Thy hand,
I touch Thy bleeding side;
O let me here forever stand,
Where thou wast crucified. [Refrain]
4 My Lord, my light, my strength, my all,
I count my gain but loss;
Forever let Thy love enthrall,
And keep me at the cross. [Refrain]
