Title: With The Same Measure
Memorize: For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you Matthew 6:14 (Nkjv)
Bible Reading: Matthew 18:21-35 (Nkjv)
[21] Then Peter came to Him and said, “Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? Up to seven times?”
[22] Jesus said to him, “I do not say to you, up to seven times, but up to seventy times seven.
[23] Therefore the kingdom of heaven is like a certain king who wanted to settle accounts with his servants.

Message:
In today’s Bible reading, a servant received a pardon from his master after defaulting on paying back his debt, but the servant refused to forgive one of his colleagues who owed him some money.
When the master got wind of the situation, he ordered the unforgiving servant’s immediate arrest so he could be tortured until he paid back everything he owed.
The unforgiving servant failed to understand the golden rule, which states that you should ‘do unto others what you want done to you.’
Likewise, you should not do unto others what you do not want done to you. For example, if you want people to treat you with respect, you should also treat them with respect.
If you want to receive forgiveness from God, you must also forgive others when they wrong you.
My dear child, be conscious about how you treat people now because that is the same way you will be treated in the future.
Some teenagers who are disobedient or unruly and who are causing their parents’ sorrow may suffer the same fate in their children’s hands in the future.
Therefore, be careful of your actions because what you sow is what you will reap.
Key Point:
You will reap what you sow.
Bible Quiz:
Which sin automatically prevents one from receiving God’s forgiveness?
HYMN 63: O FOR A THOUSAND TONGUES TO SING
1 O for a thousand tongues to sing
My great Redeemer’s praise,
The glories of my God and King,
The triumphs of his grace!
2 My gracious Master and my God,
Assist me to proclaim,
To spread thro’ all the earth abroad
The honours of your name.
3 Jesus! the name that charms ourfears,
that bids our sorrows cease,
‘Tis music in the sinner’s ears,
‘Tis life and health and peace.
4 He breaks the power of cancelled sin,
He sets the prisoner free;
His blood can make the foulest clean;
His blood availed for me.
5 Hear Him, ye dear, His praise, ye dumb,
Your loosened tongues employ
Ye blind behold your Saviour Come;
And leap, ye lame, for joy.
